Materials

To create this pattern, you will need a crochet hook of 1.25 mm, and any lace weight yarn.

Abbreviations:

  • Chain(s) = Ch
  • Single crochet = sc
  • Double crochet = Dc
  • Slip stitch = sl st
  • Stitch = st

Pattern of the Crochet Lace Ribbon

1. Slip knot, chain 20, slip stitch to the first chain to make a ring.

2. Chain 3 (doesn’t count as first dc), 36dc into the ring, sl st to 1st dc in the round to join.

3. Ch4, skip next st, *sc in the next st, ch4, skip next st* repeat * across the round, sl st to the first st in the round, fasten off.

4. With different color, chain 20, pass the chains through the first ring, slip stitch to the first chain to make a ring.

5. Chain 3 (doesn’t count as first dc), 36dc into the ring, sl st to 1st dc in the round to join.

6. Ch4, skip next st, *sc in the next st, ch4, skip next st* repeat * across the round, sl st to the first st in the round.

7. Ch2, dc in the next st (now we will join 2 parts together), sc across any ch-4 space from the second ring, *ch5, sc in the next space*, repeat * for 12 times, ch5, sc in the next space of the first ring, repeat * until the last st, ch5, sl st to the first st in the round, fasten off.

How to make a long lace ribbon with this motif?!

– We have a ready motif which made before in the previous steps, repeat for another motif but stop in the last round which we connect the two rings together.

– Ch2, dc in the next st (now we will join 2 parts together), sc across any ch-4 space from the second ring, *ch5, sc in the next space*, repeat * for 5 times, ch3, sl st to the corresponding 5th space from the first motif, ch2, sc in the next space of the current motif, repeat joining steps for 2 more times, repeat * for 4 times, ch5, sl st to the first st in the round, fasten off.
